Default 2010 batwing slightly smaller.

If you are planning or have purchased a 2010 batwing. I bought the chrome windshield moulding part #59213-96 when mounted will extend past the edge of the fairing.
I took it off and the parts guy took a new one out of the box went to the service dept. and a tech told him exactly what I was saying so I bought 59133-99 The one with the slots, It looks good and fits properly.
I thought this was good to know info. I didn't know the batwing was slightly smaller.

Wow ,, that is strange, if there was ANYTHING you would think didn't change it would be the "Batwing" right? It looks just like it has for decades,,,,from the front anyway (Not a bad thing either,,, it looks PURE "Harley")

I have a '10 SG and I have that part sitting on my work bench waiting to get installed. I was waiting to be inspired by warmer weather but I guess I'll try to get out there and get it installed to make sure it looks ok.

Maybe you had a dud part?

The -99 on the part # means it's been around since 1999.

It just doesn't make sense that the new fairing is a different size. I think maybe someone has their wires crossed.

the holes line up but the tips overhang maybe 1/8th inch. I first thought they changed vendors. I'm like you'll I didn't think they'd changed . This is my 3rd batwing and I'm no stranger to them ,If you'd like I can give the dealer ph mumber and talk to Thomas.

That isn't something that would interest me. I don't have a 2010 bike, but just for the record, there are folks on here that often know more than or at least know the right story, better than some dealers.
