By the way the service tech at Harley said " he had never heard of the bolt breaking before" mine was the first. HA HA I has never happened before. He started looking for scratches on my bike to see if I dropped it.

Default Broken passenger floorboard warrantied

Harley is going to warranty the broken bolt and lost floorboard.
They agreed it is a defect. Drilling out the bolt and replacing the lost floorboard.
Just in case anyone else has this problem.

If you have the Kuryakyn adjustable passenger pegs on your 09 or earlier and change to the 010 mount, the pegs will not fit a 010 mount.

I had to change to earlier mounts on my 010 Ultra and at the time Kuryakyn did not have adjustable passenger pegs for the 010.

Lost my right side one about a month ago. Warranty but not for the Kury adjustable peg. Put the new extended mount with the 010 bolt system. Ouch!!! That Kury peg was expensive. Service manager said he has seen a few do this.

Chrome ain't gonna make the bolt brittle, it's an elctroplate not a temper.

SSTL bolts are not gonna be too brittle unless they are bright hardened, a special process done in a vaccuum chamber.

I think hydrogen embrittlement is one of the biggest problems with chrome bolts , making them brittle. That comes from chroming or just about any plating process.
