Thanks Dawg, I'll look into that. Never had any problems, but I worry about them breaking when My wife is getting on/off the bike.

Yes the mount changed in 2010 and uses a shoulder bolt on the bottom instead of a locating pin. If a dealer does warranty work, they have to replace the faulty part with the most updated part so you should get the updated part if they are doing their job properly.

dan1127, was your mounting bolt chrome or non chrome plated? I was just wondering if the chrome plating makes the bolts more brittle? I too don't want one snapping when the wife mt/dismounts.

52719-93B is the old bracket and still shows as active, but if you look at 52719-10 it shows as superseded from 52719-93B. I would insist on the 52719-10 if having warranty work done.

That sounds good. Thanks for the info. I like going into the dealer with as much info as possible. Keeps the run around down.

No the mount was stock. I did have adjustable hwy pegs attached. But they are bolded to the orignal mount.

I had the same thing happen to me on my 03. I went and found two cad plated grade 7 bolts the right size. It shouldn't happen again.
