I figured going with the King TP would be the answer. I will probably spring for one soon through one of the 20% off dealers. Does anyone know if the King TP for the SG comes with a mat or liner like the Ultra's, or is that an extra part I need to get?

Comes with mat, no liner also you can match your key by sending in the key # when you order the lock

I love mine. My wife and kids love it more on long rides. Pretty handy.

...... if you wear a helmet & use your scooter for any non-recreational riding (biz. commuting, etc) the King TP is essential. Pop the latches, drop in your helmet/jacket & lock'r up. I've got the detach kit on my RG, but the TP essentially never comes off except to make it easier to wash/wax the scooter.

not to mention when ya wanna ride to Home Depot !

I got one for my SG and enjoy it when I use it, but I'm one of the few here that only puts it on if I'm going out of town. Otherwise I'm tourpackless. Here is the list I gave to my dealer when I ordered my vivid black tourpack.

Tour Pack 79071-09DH $ 724.95
Detachable Rack 53276-09 $ 179.95
Backrest Pad 51634-06 $ 209.95
Docking Hardware 54205-09 $ 149.95
Tour-Pak® Lock 53194-07 $ 19.95
$1284.75

I have both, but I'm happy to ride without any, most of the time. When on trips, I put the stuff that I want to bring into the hotel room, in a bag on the rack. When I stop for the night, I lock everything I won't need in the tourpac and saddlebags, and I grab the luggage to take into or up to the room.
Works for me.

Price is why I don't have one, but I will never say never. I would never keep it on if I did get one. My bro-in-law has a EGC and I do envy how he can throw his jacket in it at stops, but I can't beleive how many I see with quick detach no lock. They can come off quicker than my T-bag. just saying.

King TP is very handy and I must say I use it more than I ever thought I would. Considered making it detachable before I purchased bike but I've about waxed that whole idea I use it so much.
