Dual Exhaust install need help Please!!!!
Hey guys, newbie here asking for a little help. I purchased a pair of V/H True Duals for my 2008 EGUC. I followed the instructions to the letter and I am having a heck of a time on the rear pipe. I know to tighten down the top bolt to 1.5 pounds, then the bottom to 10 ponds and then again back to the top bolt to 10 pounds. Front pipe was easy. The back with the bend in the tube exiting the port has me throwing fits!
I called V/H, they said to use a swivel extender then the socket, got one did it, still no luck. As a matter of fact, I rounded a few of the sides of the bolt a little. Wrench wont work unless I cut it in half. I have no issues sacrificing a wrench, but then how do I know if it is under or over tightened?
If anyone has ever put a set of these pipes on please advise… also, the pipe is a little close to the fuse cover, any and all suggestions please help????

I have no connection with these folks other than having purchased a few things, including two of these tool sets, from them over the years. This tool set will solve a world full of close quarters problems on all kinds of projects. Mine have paid for themselves several times over. www.eagleleatherworks.com/tools.html

There is a proper torque sequence to go by if you ever want to ensure that the pipes never leak.1-Install the pipes and snug'em then fire it up till the pipes are hot and shut off.2-Let it cool off till the next day tighten bolts till snug and run again till its hot.3-final and last day tighten again till snug, unless you want to go another day to ensure a proper seal, you should be done and your new pipes should be good to go.Learned that on from an old timer, when they speak I listen.Throw the torque specs out the window!!!
