Talking on the bike? To the wife? We love to ride. She listens to her Ipod and I listen to the Garmin's MP3s. Great advise on the two up riding. Definitely agree that she needs to know to lean in to the curve (by looking over your shoulder in the direction of the curve), not away from it.

Get the bike you like and ride safe!

i say bring 12k cash but have your high price in your pocket. i had an 03 ultra and loved it. always got some looks. i think the 100th emblem is cool. i had the blue, but all the colors look great. spend what you can afford, but it and ride it like you stole it. they say things are worth what people are willing to spend on them. if it is really in mint condition, sounds like you found something nice.

I bought a 2003 Electra Glide Classic three weeks ago.
It had 14750 miles on it.
Upgraded stereo, detachable tour pac, 204 cams, Reinhart true duels, SERT etc.
Offered the guy $9500 and he took it.

Thanks for all the responses. In addition to the stated facts, the bike does have a Stage One upgrade (and EFI download). Not sure what that's valued at; guessing $500-700 or so. I recall when I had a Dyna Superglide, the pipes, air filter and power commander set me back $600 . The power commander was the bulk of the cost.

Regarding riding two up, I took the MSF class and still have the training materials; I will go back and reread the materials. One responder says teach your passenger what it means to be a good passenger, but what are those tips> Someone said tell the passenger to lean forward into your back at stops and when slowing down. Anything else?
