just a suggestion. I have a roadking and when girlfriend on back and i want to push backwards, the passenger floorboards bind my legs at the calf. I also have the reach seat. One idea I have thought of is this. HD has a raiser bracket for the passenger floorboards that actually raise it about 2.5". I think she would like it anyway and at the same time it would stop my leg from feeling like it is being jammed. Just and idea.

BITE ME. I'm a disabled Vet with blown out knees and I have trouble backing up since my second surgery. I'm looking to add a reverse because I'm 59 and not ready to occupy a rocking chair.
My guess you tote a little pecker around with your little brain making others feel like **** because you got nothing to say.

I drove a car for two years that didn't have a reverse. I can honestly say that I've never had a need for one on a motorcycle because of that. I can look at a piece of ground and tell you right away which way it slopes. That said, I am proficient at tight u turns to make sure I park the bike in the correct direction (rear facing downhill side of slope, no matter how slight.)

I'll let others advise on the various reversing kits available. Also being short-legged I learned long ago to get off the bike and push backwards from beside the bike. There are some situations when I can back-up from the saddle, but frankly that is mostly a recipe for disaster! So don't try.
