Any pics would be awesome! I want to do this but not sure how to tie all the
wires together.
What do you use to secure the wires to the frame while making the wire runs?

Thanks buddy
Pete
i can get pics but it wont be till next week sometime. basically, each strip runs to under the seat and 2 tie together(like the 2 for the tank, or the horn and ac...) then they tie into a block thats got 4 speaker type screw connectors. the blocks came with the music interface kit, which also has the fuse, and the power switchis on the interface. ive shrinked wraped the leads and just tucked them under the factory harness( i did pull the tank) and used small zip ties in concealed spots for the rest. its not hard, just alittle time consuming to get what ya want.

I used the strip LEDs behind my saddle bag guards.

That is the MOST awesome trick with them yet! I do not, however like your choice of green for the engine: I think keeping the same theme throughout would look much better.

Has anyone tried to cut the Harbor Freight style strips and rewire them? I'm scared it will just die if I cut it, the lamps are so close together...and do they need a tie at the end, or are the LED's themselves completing the circuit?

How did you change the ones in the speedo and tach? Also, how did you get your odometer blue? Isn't that all sealed?

Also, did you use the LED replacement bulbs in the other gauges?

I broke down and bought a kit to do mine, came with 9 different pods, a wiring kit and a 6 function remote control... all for @ $139.. got em from here http://www.customdynamics.com/hyper_...ent_lights.htm

but this site had a diagram that I halfway followed to put the lights on..

I'll try to get some pics posted soon. Install was simple and easy.

Yes the speedo and tach are sealed. When you take the speedo and tach out of the inner fairing you will see the bezel lip on the back side and you can just bend the lip out to get the plastic housing loose. then pull the needle and number faceplate out and that gives you access to the circut board where the LED's are. You have to use a soldering iron to get them out and put the new ones back in. When you are done just reassemble and crimp the lip of the bezel back down. My odometer uses the same LED's as the rest of the speedo so I was able to make it blue also. Here is a link to the LED's I used.

And yes I replaced the bulbs in the 4 smaller gauges with WLEDx5 wedge base bulbs from here
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...Fled_prods.htm

Like i said before the pics dont do them justice as some of the others that had them done will tell you same.

Not real keen on the green either. I got six others to pick from.
