Default LRS X-stream 10" Review

I got a chance to install the 10" clear X-stream shield today. It fit right on, first shot, with the Harley triple bag. It took all of 10 minutes to replace the stock 12". I was a little leary after sci-fi guy and swoopjr's comments of the 8" hole alignment issues so I figured I would at least try it on for size and fit. I'm pleased with the product and wish I could give a perfomance review but the roads still have inches of slush and ice on them here. So the best I can do is post some pics, dirty bike and all. Performance review to follow when weather and schedule permits. Ride Safe.

I'm definitely wanting to try one of these, but i think I'm going to wait for them to work the bugs out. I'm glad your fit up with no problems.

Great pix. Thanks. I'm thinking the 8" might work for me.

Thanks for the pics Lee. It looks good. I ordered one just like yours that Thursday before midnight but have not received it yet. No hurries, still a lot of snow and slush around here too.

I am looking forward to riding without all the buffeting. Looking forward to your first ride report.

Looks good Lee. Glad the install went well and there were no problems with the windshield bags.

I'm thinking the reason delay in some getting there shields is that they are sending out the updated versions. Of course the best way to find out is to shoot Matt an email and see which one there are sending.

Hope the weather will cooperate with you soon so you can get her out on the road.

Looks great.. Is there any distortion while looking through the shield?

BigSky, I ordered the 8" too (light gray). Still waiting.

Where is the 10" measured from? It seems like most of these shields are measured differently.

Am I he only one who thinks the 10" looks HORRIBLE?

I have a 10" re curve from LRS and I hate the way it looks but am going with function over form since its a touring bike. BUT I dont know If I can wrap my head around the way this looks.

I am not trying to argue or talk crap Im just really surprised nobody else has made a comment about the looks of it?

....
