Default Fuel Moto Air Filter

Hey everybody

I am wondering if I have to oil my Fuel Moto Air Filter like the K&N ones. I did not read anything in the installation papers. Any thoughts?

If it's the Fuel Moto SE Stage 1 air cleaner, yes, and you should have received some oil and cleaner with the kit if you bought it from Fuel Moto.

I got the whole Stage 1 kit from Fuel Moto but there was no oil or cleaner in the shipment.

I got mine from Fuel Moto without any oil. Installed it as is. Call Jamie. Perhaps you can run to the store and get some K&N oil.

The air filter that comes from Fuelmoto *IS* a K&N filter.

So, yes, you can clean it like one.

I have one from Fuel Moto.

Their official word to me, is it is exactly the same as K&N but not K&N. You clean it and oil it using K&N products.

I just added a stg 1 kit from fuelmoto last week.I asked him about cleaning & oiling it like a k&n.If I remember right he said you just wash it & blow it out.I think giving him a call to be sure would be wise. Bigdebo

Isn't the FM kit the Arlen Ness kit? You need to oil it and let it dry before starting the bike.

FM uses a SE HD intake mount made in he USA & there own a/f which is cleanable. From what I was told by FM ,AN uses a made in china intake. I think there's a $10-15 diff. You get what you pay for! Bigdebo
