Default Switch to a Road Glide seat?

I have an 08 Street Glide and was thinking of switching to a Road Glide seat. It looks to have a larger pasenger area I was wondering if there would be any more advantages. I think some others on here have done this. Any input would be helpfull.

I really like the stock seat on my 08 RG. I can put in some long saddle time and not be uncomfortable. The wife is comfy on the back.
It's probably the best stock seat I've had on any bike..

If you pick one up and want to sell your SG seat, let me know.

I made the switch and really liked the RG sit over the SG seat...the misses likes it much better also. It's a more comfortable seat than the stock SG seat. You should be able to find 1 here for sale between $100-150.00 and if you don't like it...it won't be hard to resell. When riding solo I like my Corbin YoungGuns seat.( make sure you get a 08 RG seat if you have a 08 SG)

I didn't find much of a difference for me as rider between the SG seat and RG seat sitting on them at the dealership. I didn't ride the bike with the SG seat; my bike had the RG seat on it already at the dealership. I went with the RG seat, as you said, because it has a bigger, more comfortable seating area for a passenger. My wife rides with me, so when she's happy.... I'm happy.

Before I got laid off my next mod on my SG was going to be an 08 RG seat sent out to MCC for some work. Hopefully I'll be back to work soon and will get it done.

I run the old style leather Road Glide seat on my E-glide. I like it a lot.
