Default Rear tires sizes for stock ultra

I have a 2005 Ultra with stock wheels. I am trying to find out what is the widest rear tire that I can fit on the bike with no major modification. I am also looking for a low profile tire. Does anyone have any suggestions on tires and sizes?

Sorry, I don't have an answer to your question. But FYI, try Jake Wilson for the absolute best prices for OEM Dunlop tires. (I'm just a happy customer).

If I am right your bike has 3" rims and 16" diameter. The largest tyre you can fit is a 150, such as an Avon Venom 150/80x16. I am in the process of fitting one to my 1990 bike! If you go with that size check the brand you prefer as they vary a lot on actual width. An H rated Venom is 150mm wide, but their V rated is 157mm. Some brands are even wider!

To fit a wider tyre you really need a wheel with a wider rim, which you may be able to get off a different model, such as a Softtail. Hopefully someone will pass by who knows just what is interchangeable.

Ditto here with no problems. I just installed the E-3 160/80-16 on my 07 electra glide classic. Too cold right now to see how they are. Way Too much dang white stuff too!

The Dunlop E3 is an excellent choice. Check the reviews on this forum.
