Question 2010 touring model question!!!

How many of you have thrown or thinking about throwing your factory warranty out the window to upgrade your engine and exhaust system to get rid of the catalyist converter.

Were is the cat located on the 2010's??

Much of what you mention will not void the warranty. Already got a stage 1 and exhaust and head pipes on a 2010 UC. Put on with less than 200 miles. This does not void the warranty, it actually helps the engine run cooler. Sounds like you need to learn more about the issue.

As you suggested Spur56, I went to the dealer this morning and learned a little bit more about this issue. This is what I learned Harley will not warranty the drive train if any thing that is put on a bike that is for race application (cams, heads ect.). They do not offer a big bore kit for the 2010 Street Glide or the 2010 Road Glide yet. When they offer a big bore kit for 2010 SG & RG and have it installed before the 60 day purchase period is up then they will warranty it.You can change the exhaust and put on a high flow air cleaner with no problems..

Please check with your nearest dealer to confirm this..

I'm following you on the cams and bore kits and all of that but what about the head pipe? Did you ask them about that?

Be careful about what the dealer tells you. You can always talk to the regional factory rep. Dealers will tell you a a lot of BS to sell stuff. Heads, cams and the like are out of my ballpark, don't need them. I have been riding Harleys since the seventies and I never try to change them into a racing machine, they are designed for a purpose. Use to laugh at the guys that would ask how fast they would go and tell them to go see the kawasaki dealer.

2010 and above the cat is in the headpipe in all states. Can verify from the headpipe I took off.

The cat is in the header. I can also verify, as I looked in there when they took mine off before I ever left the dealer.....
