Well, not to long ago I was riding a little to fast and I suddenly needed to stop and I felt a great difference with the ABS. Especially with the heavy weight of the Road Glide. I was extremely happy that I made the decision to purchase bike with the ABS. In comparison with the 07 Night Rod Special that didn't have it. I am glad to have traded in for the bagger....

 

I have a 08 ultra w/ abs, I bought used in 08 and in all honesty I didnt want it, I live in colorado and ride most of the year, sand, snow, ice and rain, sometimes in the same day. I tried it out in a parking lot and it worked as they claimed. In real life though I havent really used it, it came on once or twice during hard braking, certainly faster than I could have reacted, but my reaction times are still pretty good, I lightened up on the anchors and maintained control. Do I feel it saved me? no not really. It will shave a few feet off a panic stop, but if its sloppy outside and you have any lateral motion, yer done, it wont save you and it might prevent you from "letting it down easy"
