found what I think is good deal for dynoing in SC
I recently completed all the add-ons I had planned. I was going to smart tune after the base load but with so much rain lately I decided to get pricing on dynoing. I called one dealer in Charlotte and they quoted $385 and ssix hours. I didn't like that sound. So I called one a little closer to me and was told $69 starting (that covers 1 hr labor). If the tune is done in an hour or less that is it. Anyhting past the hr. is regular hourly labor rate. Sounds pretty good to me. The dealer is ***'s in Rock hill, SC. I'll give a follow up after the dyno. It's scheduled for Wednesday.

Make sure you get a printout with the AFR..Look for the smoothness of the curves and steady AFR. I got mine done in about an hour, but I have a PCIII and the map from Jamie was very close, so mine was just tweaking.
I believe it was HDTuner had a real good post in the past week or so talking about what to look for in a Dyno Tuner. Check the reputation of the guy you are using. As one of the previous posters said the $385 could be a good deal if the guy is top notch and the other one does not know what he is doing.
Tell the tuner what you are looking for also. I had mine set it up for good acceleration WOT and lean it up a little in the cruise throttle range for economy and I gained a good bit of power and got better economy when done. (I know I probably sacrificed a little in there somewhere)
If the guy has a good reputation and using the Smarttune to help it should cut down the tune time to less than 6 hours which is I know what they used to quote for the old SERT.
They do run nice once they are dialed in

Now the review of the Dyno. They had a problem. Their dyno was drowned in water to start with after so much rain the hole under the dyno where the wiring is got some water in it. Then it seemed as though my bike had an electrical problem causing misfires in mid revs. They blued my new rineharts in the first few runs. The whole muffler and 1 heat shield. After some troubleshooting they cleared the ecm, reloaded a stock map, ran it, it ran good. They reloaded with tuner, still good, continued and finished the dyno tune. Now the mufflers are ruined. However the service manager said they are going to stand by their work and replaced my mufflers and shield on them. The tune ended up just under $200. So they are going to eat a lot of cost on the mufflers and labor. They had around 6 days working with this. At least they are going to make it right and that means alot to me. ***'s in Rock Hill, SC.

KWS here in North Charleston SC is a well known Sportbike tuner.
Long story short, they are well respected, top notch outfit with years of experience. Much like how we think of Jamie and Fuelmoto. KWS sponsors race teams, drag bikes, etc etc.
Kevin (the owner) will dyno tune a Harley for 225 bucks. He once told me (on the phone) that he'd like to charge 400-600 bucks for a tune, but could not bring himself to do it. He explained that if someone is tuning a two cylinder engine for 4-6 hours, you're paying them to learn.. Said, he'd leave that BS to the tuners that didn't know what they're doing... It's what he said anyway.
