Default Ultima six speed builders kit

Morning,

Tried this in the transmission section, thought I'd try it to model specific,

I am buying the six speed builders kit for my 05 Ultra. For those of you who bought one could you help me out by answering a few questions please,

-was all the pieces packaged complete but scattered, like in plastic bags? or just loose in the styrafoam?

-was the shifter fork for Gear three steel or Bronze heavy duty in the kit?

-was the shifter fork for Gear two steel or Bronze heavy duty in the kit?

-was it packaged well overall?

Once my dealer and I opened the box, it looked like someone opened it, took everything out and then threw it back in. I didn't take it. They are going to order me another one, which is back ordered for a few weeks. I don't mind as I have until the end of April before I need it.

On a positive note, the gear set looks well machined. I looked for burrs, pours in the steel and anything negative. Didn't change my ming for waiting.

Any feed back would be appreciated!

I put one on my last bike, an 04 Dyna. It was packaged well so it sounds like someone messed around with yours.

Mine last 20k before it crapped out - right at the warranty point. It also never shifted smoothly and I know two other people with that same problem. Yes we adjusted it several times.

Would I get another one....no. But it did fit my needs and budget at the time. The 6th gear is definitely nice on the highway. Good luck with it!

Thanks,
Do you remember what the shifter forks were made of?

I just put the Revtech 6 speed gear set in my bike, once the snow is gone I'll be able to try it.
