I bought used and came with the chopped detachable tour pak and I added vented lowers for winter mainly. Tour pak only when wife goes along. Thinking cruise would be nice addition. Nice to be able to modify to your own preference style and change when you feel the need.

 

My 2 month new 2010 FLTRX Road Glide Custom is already almost a Road Glide Ultra. Probably woulda bought an FLTRU, if it was offered.

 

I bought my 2006 SG 1 week before Sturgis 2006. Since then I added the detachable tour pak, Brembo brakes front and rear. I got the complete tour pak for less than $700.00 on ebay. I was thinking about trading for a SE SG but could not justify the $35K. I upgraded to a Jims 120 and now I have the power to match all the other upgrades I have done. The engine is the best investment I have spent $ on. 115HP and 125Ft Lbs torque.

 

I am going the other direction too. Mine is an 03 Standard

 

When I bought my SG I got it because I like the clean lines and the bare fenders. I've added the tour-pak and floor boards for comfort when momma wants to ride but I usually ride to work in basic SG form.
