Nice combo......Iam doing a 97 build on my 01 EGC with 510 cams,would do a 106 but dont want to get into the case,wish it was newer.......the 06 is staying stock for now...

while it's torn down, i'd highly recommend installing compression releases. the reason being, is that it's far cheaper to get it done while the heads are off. even when my motor was a basically stock 96", the starter was working hard when it was a hot day with high humidity. when i'd stop for fuel, ten minutes or so, and then try to start the motor, the starter would really be working hard to start the motor. now with the 10.5 compression, no way my starter or ring gear would stand a chance in the same situation. it's your call, your money, but the manual compression releases do not require an additional wiring harness, and the compression releases, if anything goes wrong with them, at least you can replace them easily if need be, and besides they're cheaper than the automatic ones.

Cant beat that sif,the donut made me hungry hahaha....My neighbor owns his own shop(dlccycles.com)check it out and is a Harley speed shop,does alot of 106 and up builds.He is not a SE fan hahaha,big on S&S and alot of other suppliers but will do SE if thats what a person wants.....Like he says--Its your money hahaha..
