not sure what would make it better or last longer, says right on their site that it IS the SE back plate. The filter is the only difference and the filter should last longer.

I have the SE one, but will probably switch the element to the K&N when this one is ready to be changed.

I found the PCIII did cool things down a bit, but to get it comfortable for the wife, I finally caved and added Heat Deflectors. I used the Kury, because I liked the lighter tint, matched my bike. But there are a bunch of good ones out there that all work well, including several from sponsors on here.

After I added them, just like the Stage 1 and pipes from Fuelmoto I asked myself why did I wait so long...

Nicely put Buzzsaw, I agree with the "why did I wait so long" comment. PClll and pipes aren't being used to their potential without stage 1 and it is cooler in addition to the proven performance increase.
