Had them on my 06 EG, no issues. They were great until we went 2 up and hit a good bump, the rear tire would rub the inner fender and finally wore out my harness. About 125 to fix. No more blocks. Invest more now and save later, go with the shocks.

I got the white brothers kit and put them on my old Ultra. It rode extremely well but I di have to alter the amount of air in the shocks. I don't remember which way, just remember I had to change it. New bike seems lower so I elected not to use the blocks.

I have had lowering blocks on my bike for over 2 years and have had no problems....I am 235+ and the wife is 180+-, and like somebody said it will firm up the ride some so you will have to get used to that......but other than that they work great.

I also have the roadwhatevercustoms lowering kit that I purchased off ebay. Have ZERO complaints! I initially had it in the 2" lowering hole, but bumped it to the 1". The 2" looked good, but I was bottoming out a little. I never did check my air pressure though when in the 2" hole. Now I have it in the 1" hole and run 50# of air, NO PROBLEMS!

I believe he is a member here too.

To be able to tell a big difference I would want to go at least 2" lower than stock. You would think there would be some kind of bump stop some where to keep this from happening or even messing up the fender if really low.

Has anyone every relocated their wiring harness over to the side so this could never happen?

Beast, I relocated mine after shredding it. I put an extre couple of inches in the harness, since I had it all out anyway.... It's a bad design by Harley. My old 97' Road King had the harness on the side, why'd the factory change it? So people like me could keep there soldering skills fresh, I guess.....

I put the lowering blocks on my '09 ultra and road about 400 miles on them an had to take them off. It changed the angle on my shock and caused the bike to bottom out if I had a passenger. As long as it was just me I had no problem.

I had issues of bottoming out and rubbing the fender with the lowering blocks that came on my 97RK when I bought it. I changed out to the Progressive 440's and that fixed it.

I am using the lowprofile shocks on my new ride.

Just some food for thought. I did some research on this before i bought my lowering kit in 2007 and thought this was the way to go at the time . Since then ive bottomed out about half a dozen times and it sucks!! Did some more research and found a company in mesa az, bitchin baggers that takes your shock apart and lowers it. It will not bottom out and it can be lowered up to 2 1/2". Scooter rides great! Try them out.
