Being that you just spent over 20,000 bucks, I would ask for a new lid not a repaired lid. Just my opinion......

Hate to tell you this but there was a post not long ago that this happened to another member!!!!! But dealer replaced it!!!!! My advice would be to go detach.... Then you will only think about your T.P. when its on.....

I would not have gone for the repair and paint. I would have demanded a new lid.
It's a brand new bike for crying out loud.

If you think you're pissed now, just wait til the TP top comes back in the wrong color! Ok, not wrong, just a few shades off. But not right. And the dealer says "it looks ok to me". Just saying.

Noway in hell I'd take a repaired lid on a NEW bike because of a mechanics screwup.

Congrat's on the new bike, nice color combo! I don't want to add to your worries, but can they match the color right. That's some fancy paint Harley has on that bike. I would check it good in the outside light. I think I would have insisted on a new lid. I don't know about patching holes in a new TP since it was their fault to begin with. I know what you are saying coming off a sportster. I switched from a 02 Dyna to an 09 EGC. Big difference. wouldn't go back now!!!
