Most of the extremes will ship tomorrow including yours.

We had to make a change in the material and the final cut, so we are a couple days behind.

Mac

I also recieved shipping notice today. Say's it was mailed on the 4th. What happened to 2 day shipping? I had my order in by midnight last thursday. It was nice to give a rebate, but what about the 12.00 shipping charge? I feel that long rider should also refund the shipping being's it was not 2 day's as they said it was going to be. Now granted I was not planning on riding with all of the salt on the ground, But that's not the point. Say what you mean, mean what you say. That's how you build a strong customer base. I understand if there was a problem with the material, but the way it was advertized would lead one to think that they were already to go! I feel that they should offer something more to show good faith like refunding shipping, or discount the shield's even further for all of the tester's. Like my wife said before. We should be getting these for alot less than $101.00. Our feedback is going to help them make a better, and more profitable product for them! How's about it long rider's, you willing to really get a loyal following? Then hook us up! You said two day shipping. Was the $12.00 shipping charge for that? If so, please do the right thing. I know I can change it for subsequent model's but how long will that proccess take? Does that include free shipping? If so, then I take back the refund of shipping remark, but if I have to pay $12.00 to send back and $12.00 for a replacement, Then one could say that in just shipping charges alone, would probably cover the cost a material. Sorry for the rant but I don't like being told one thing and it turn's out to be different.

I didn't receive a shipping notice; but I'm okay with the fact that it may take a bit long to receive, I'm not just just saying this because the Northeast is expecting 2 feet of snow either...lol. IMO, I think this entire "testing" thing is/was nothing but a good marketing/sales gimmic, I'm okay with that too. I was shopping for a new windshield (current one has many scratches); so the timing was perfect. I will eventually get a new winshield at a good price$ when its shipped.

Default Tester Scam

Let's think about this deal.

Here's a guy who has a web site, and is not available during the day, or doesn't respond to emails or phone calls for several days. Obviously, he's got a day job. Then we have his buddy come on the forum saying,

"oh not to worry he's a good guy he's exchanged stuff for me, I've dealt with him before. He told me these will start shipping tomorrow".

Low and behold, the next day they start shipping. Sounds like he had to wait for all the cash before he could invest in getting them manufactured by his buddy who works at the Lexan shop. (Is this Lexan?) So much for 2 day service.

He probably knows a guy on the side that has access to computerized plastic molding and cutting tools and comes up with this idea to sell them on the web and through this forum.

But he hasn't properly engineered them, or doesn't know how durable they are, or how long they'll last under riding conditions. So he comes up with this idea. "Let's make this a test product!"

Well, generally testers get products free for testing, but he can't obviously do that. Hmmm, how can we sell these? Let's give them $30.00 off after we raise the price $20-30. Then, we'll entice them by initially limiting it to a few testers, then we'll open it up to everyone!

If the product sucks, we've already disclaimed it as a test product. Will it deflect the wind? Who knows? Ask the testers! Does it fit properly? Is it durable? Will it shatter into many pieces? Is it a safety hazard? Has it been tested under time and temperature extremes?

Ask the testers who are shelling out $100.00 for something that hasn't been tested!

That is certainly one way to look at it! And when you put it like that, makes you think, dam, WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO!. The safety issue's you raised have me second guessing.
