I just ordered a TW-400-6 from Bob today. Planning an install for next week... I was really wrestling with TW7H or the 400-6.

its going into a 09 FLHTCU with a Stage IV kit 110+ heads, 58mm TB, Barnett Clutch R&B 2-1 etc.

I'm replacing a Kuriyakin TC 26D (I know dumb choice for torque)
the above cam made great numbers... 115/120 just up in the 4-5.5K RPM range

I want to improve my torque performance at low-mid RPM

any final thoughts... before I install.

With not really knowing anything about either cam (other than the Wood reputation), that 400-6 ought to at the very least push that torque curve to the left since the intake closes 8 degrees earlier (all things being equal). Should be an improvement. Good luck.

 

The 400 is capable of some huge numbers with the right combo, its a great cam, but if youve never heard one run be prepared, it makes a bunch of valvetrain noise. Just the nature of its specs!

 

I run an R&B LSR exhaust... can hear **** :-)
