leak down won't tell you what your ccp is just tell you how much leakage you have..
To do a proper ccp you need a fully charged battery, remove the aircleaner hold the Throttle wide open (on carb hold the slide up) ground both plugs and turn it over until the guage stops climbing.

Leak down is only half of the tests, you must do both leak down and compression. HOT to get an acurrate measure!

OK. I am out voted here. I always thought that a leak down test was a better way to determine if the rings were going bad...along with valves and seals. But I am not an expert. So how about compression test, and if you get low reading then leak down? But if you got readings within range then no need for leak down?
