You gotta love it eh?

Welcome to the wonderful world of accessorizing your HD.......

We all feel your pain in the wallet...

Fun though ain't it?

BTW, the set-up you are looking at is best bought from HD, not aftermarket.....seems to me that the "fit and function" are top quality regardless of price.
Several HD Online'rs do the 20% off gig, great way to go.

Just bought similar items for my SG on E-bay and saved almost half dealer prices. Need to know what you want and be patient.

+1 Keep checking Ebay .. Got all my detach mounts and Tour Pack as well, for less than 50% and in mint condition...

This is the reason I bought the EGC instead of the Street glide. Dealer wanted the same price for either bike. I decided it was cheaper to take off than add stuff!

FYI.....
The pad is the same as 97-up so you could find a nice used one on here from a member or maybe Craigslist....for around $50.00
Also the pad comes with a mount bracket(Triangle hardware)so you don't have to buy that part unless you have to have the fancy one...ADD lator?
Last but not least you may want to rethink the short backrest mount.I had one and the wife din't like how it hit her back..OK around town but she found the medium was much better.... and if momma ain't happy,NOBODY's happy...Good Luck.Happy Trails!!!

i just went throught the same thing... i got my setup when i bought my bike ..2010 SG.. my dealer takes 20% since i bought the bike there... FYI.. i am pretty sure the upright comes with a pad mount..you don't need to buy a separate one (of course HD lists a few seperate ones in their catalog and would be happy to sell you one if chrome steel isn't good enough and you HAVE to have a Billet piece)
Also if you don't NEED the 4 point for future use (backrest only requires 2 point mount) you might wanna look into FBI "backrest relocation kit" its HALF the price of the HD 4 point kit and it has a MUCH cleaner look..i'm planning to order one myself after i return (i hope) my 4 point HD kit that i haven't mounted yet.
