Default Why so many fuelpak for sale?

I'm curious as of why so many people end up selling their fuelpak? problems? or perhaps they want more flexibility?

They aren't tunable. Ask any Dyno guy.

You can call V&H and they will send you different maps, but you can't tune the one you have. I sold mine for $50.

I had one for 15,000 miles on my vrod. It wasn't the greatest tune I could've had but the price was right. Was it as good as the other tuners (pc, sept, tts, or any of the 3 pot fuelers) no. It was ok though and as long as you weren't considering any further mods and were using their pipes I think it was a good deal. I had a little more cash in my pocket this time around and went with the tts, much better tune.

Some guys are happy with them but they are very limited.
Many better choices imho.

Can't dyno tune them. I need something that can be adapted to different cams.

Mine worked very well with my current stage 1 set-up. Bike ran excellent. I recently sold it and bought a SEST for planned future upgrades.

Most people will tell you the same thing, including me. At the time I wanted pipes and an air cleaner. So I went with the fuelpak because there was no dyno tuning involved and the price was pretty cheap.

Now since I want to do more I (like many others) don't need the fuel pak anymore!

I have slip ons and a stage one air cleaner, dont plan on any future mods within the next couple years, is a fuel pak a good idea then, instead of the power commander. and approx how much are they. thanks

You won't get your bike dialed in as well as you would with other tuners.

This is true BUT.....to get a PCIII/PCV and get it tuned you are looking at around 500 bucks (approx.)
