Sundowner is FANTASTIC!!! Really a great seat with a deep pocket that really cradles your backside while providing a degree of back support. Only problem that I had was that at 5' 10" and 30 Inch inseam, the reach from my butt to the handlebars was just too much, so changed to a 2010 Dyna seat which moved me forward just a tad, but enough to eliminate the pain between my shoulders that caused me to swap from stock to Sundowner. I did try the reach seat for a few hours, but I hated it.
Since I am now using the Dyna seat, I have a perfect Sundowner with Classic basket weave pattern for $150 delivered anywhere within the contintinental US.

Best $$ I've spent! I've been ridin for over 35 years, mostly long distance (4,000 - 7,500 miles on average) road trips and both me and my wife absolutely love it! I have it on my newest bike, an 07 RK Custom.

Default Ultra Seat

Just put a 2011 Ultra seat (dealer takeoff) on my 09 Road King. Can't decide if it's fugly or not, but, MAN IS IT COMFORTABLE! Changed the whole feel of the ride to a REALLY CUSHY CADILLAC feel. The wife ABSOLUTELY LOVES the wider rear seat. The 09-2010 Road Kings had a seat/handlebar issue with lots of owner complaints of backaches and shoulder pains. I sat on a 2011 RK Classic and was astonished at how different it felt. According to the dealer MOCO listened and made the change because of complaints. I bought this seat because it was a relatively inexpensive trial by fire remedy instead of jumping in and buying the Sundowner or Hammock. As of now, between the Ultra seat and the Heritage bars I put on, I think I'll ride it as is. This summer will tell for sure if I want to upgrade (spend more money) for another seat or not.

Are you sure the 2011 RKC seat & bars are different than those on 2009's?
Thanks

Got a sundowner and matching sissy bar pad, we both love it. First day I got the bike (sundowner already fitted) I rode 354 miles with no problems what so ever. Wife loves the pillion pad 14" wide so very comfy for her.

According to the dealer they are different. I sat on the 2011 at the NY Bike show & it DEFINATELY is a TOTALLY different feel!

I love mine. I used to need a cushion on the stock seat, not this one. I can ride all day and no butt pain.

I called the dealer yesterday, who said that while the seat on the 2011 RKC's is different, the handlebars are the same as the 2009's. Same bars, same part number.

Super comfortable...i hate the way it looks. It really is so comfortable on long rides...I just wish it wasn't so ugly
