I've learned to keep my stock parts. If I ever sell my bike, stock parts will go back on and aftermarket stuff will either go to new bike or to the forum/EBay for sale ....

Exactly, I always keep the stock parts for that reason.

After completing my customization I tried to sell my stuff on craigslist several times. Got a couple calls but no sale. Still just hanging around. Not many people interested in stock stuff. One item is even the SE teardrop AC and cover....

Depends what comes off, saved some, sell some and other pieces went the way of the garbage.

The only reason to keep original stuff is to put it back on when you trade your bike back in.
The dealer will give you nothing for add ons on a trade in. Then either put the old aftermarket stuff on the new bike or sell.

Well if your dealer is keeping all you stock parts and selling them then he is basically stealing from you.. Those are your parts and should go to you with the bike unless you specifically tell him you dont want them.. By the way since this about parts and no om not trying to take over the thread im looking for some stock mufflers to fit my 06 and since I dont have a job I dont have a lot of cash.. Anyone?

I have always kept the stock stuff and offered it as part of the sale when I sell. Many guys like the fact they are getting extras whether they will ever use them or not.

I guess I am mixed on keeping the stock parts. I suppose it depends on how old the aftermarket parts are and whether they can be transferred to a newer model.

I've kept every piece I've taken off the bike. Not sure what I will do with it all, maybe sell at a swap meeet some day.
