I modified my 07-Road Glide headlight socket brackets to enable me to remove the headlight assembly on the road with only an allen wrench. See attached photo's for how to do it. It does require you to weld a nut on the the three adjustment brackets, to dremel away some of the plastic housing, and to drill three holes in the black faceplate. Add 3 black allen bolts, and walla! It works like a champ. To take the headlights out, remove the three screws, pull everything out. To reinstall, simply bolt everything up and using the green spring clips, push the assembly back in place. Hope that helps someone here on the Forum!

I wish to hell Houston wasn't so far away cause I'd surely like to see it up clsoe. looks like a few bucks as opposed to a lot o bucks for the 2010 assembly.

Dawgs parts list shows two different headlight bezel part numbers. 67959-10 and 73250-10. Something tells me my dealer ordered the wrong number.

Yes I would like to know also if thats all that is required to remove the bubble on previous Road Glides (73250-10). Can someone confirm that this is all thats required to remove that that bubble and have the look of a 2010 (minus the ability to remove the assembly from the front like on the 2010).?

I bought both bezels to replace my 09 bubble. 73250-10 is the one on 2010 Road Glides. 69987-09 is the one off of 2009 Screamin Eagle Road Glide. 73250-10 is $10. 69987-09 is $40. 69987-09 is on the bike now. It is molded different. Smooth glossy finish vs the rough textured finish on the 2010. Molded different to. 69987-09 fits a lot better around the headlights on my 09. I guess thats why its a $40screamin eagle part. Although the 2010 part will fit, it is a little sloppier fit than the 09 part.

Some of you guys really remove the faring to get the headlight bezel off? I've never had to do that. When I went to the SE bezel I just pulled the bubble off and put the new bezel on.

I have the 2009 Road Glide and when I replaced my handle bars, I had to remove the head light from the front of the fairing. Now from looking at the head light assembly it has three clips, two on the top and one in the middle to the bottom. I did noticed that you could remove the assembly or head light, then you can pull the connections from the back of the bulb and do the replacement of the bulbs just that easy.
