Thanks for all the kind words. I rode back out to the spot today, and the doe is still lying right next to the guard rail. I'm not sure if she ended her slide there or was moved there. BTW, I am in southern Ky. near Dale Hollow Lake in Cumberland County. Thanks again.

Deer! We don't have THAT to look out for here in Southern California.
You think deer are scarey...just light some of these up with your headlight.
They are most active from dusk 'till dawn.

 

Glad your ok. I hit a deer with my car years ago, and I can testify that they are in front of you before you know it. And they almost never travel alone.

Them somb!tches never travel alone. One night I turned into my neighborhood and there werea bunchof them just standing in the middle of the road shooting the chit.

 

I was stationed at camp pendleton where that sign is at and never saw any running across the freeway (they use the railroad). Any way I'm in the mountains in ca and I almost had deer sausage on my rooad king classic not fun and be safe.
