Default any downside to a Tank Bra ?

...... i got a scratch on the tank down by the seat from something (who knows what) and it's pissed me off, so I'm thinkin' ..tank bra.. to both cover the scratch so I don't see it every time i mount .....& to keep it from happenin' again.
.... anybody w/a tank bra care to relate any issues that may arise from using one ?
thanks,

Had one sold it after a month. Took it off one day and spent the rest of the afternoon buffing the tank where it rubbed.

Yep, after a while with a tank bra, a little scratch will be the least of your worries.

I wear double kneed carharts alot when I ride and the two "rivets" that hold the two layers together are right where my legs hug the tank and i get some small scratching the bra keeps it from happining but it does dull the finish under neath. 6 in one half a dozen in the other

Bra's are for women and even with women its best if you leave the bra off. lol

i have to buff my tank about twice a year from where my jeans dull the paint but its better than a bra most i have known that had a bra on the tank like mentioned above alot of things get down under that bra and will cause more scratchs and issues with the paint that if you just leave it off.

the down size is it covers the nipples and you can't see them bounce as much, seriously the paint will get haizy under it if it gets wet, they also leave scratches unless you could live it with a felt but that may even hold more moisture against the paint.

Besides looking stupid and scratching the paint? Nope, no down side.

Every time it rains, or you wash your bike you gotta remember.... water runs DOWNHILL. Guess where it get trapped? You think one little scratch bothers you? Pay to have it repainted, then use a small piece of 3M clear bra. I used it on my rear fender and side panels where the seat rubs.
