Get the Limited.
Ha ! I did consider that. I love that quirky hunk of Brit iron. Excessive power !!
But she's not as comfortable as I'd like for day long or multi-day rides.
I don't want to get rid of the Rocket.

The Ultra (or Ltd) will be for the really long rides. This time around, I'm after comfort and convenience, not excessive power.

"My bikes are always $2,000.00 from being finished"

Hee Hee. Funny. Unfortunately however, true.

The motor alone is no biggy. You are correct a stage 1 96" will easily be equal to a bone stock 103". Add cams to the 96" and it's no contest.
yeah, but you're comparing apples and oranges. if you're gonna do that to the 96, then why not do that to the 103 as well... you know if you buy a stock 103 its not gonna stay that way for long.

Default Limited

I really like the Limited. It is my first HD. It is not loaded with power, but it runs ok. As far as the extra money I dont know because I paid the same for it as I wouldve paid for the Ultra. So shop around.

Either way the difference is marginal. All I'm saying is the motor should not necessarily be the deciding factor. If the other stuff is appealing, go for it.

......... apparently it isn't in Colorado ... PPHD has 3 of'm on the floor, a blue/black, red/black & the merlot ..... in a line w/other Ultras & Classics.
...... that Merlot is a great color scheme, but the blue/black looked pretty sharp too.

...... when i think about how I'd really like it (95"+6spd), it's waay more than $2k to finish, which is why i think i'll wait for the FLTRU.

I wanted the ABS. I would have put on an oil cooler and a tour pack rack. The grips, gauges and chrome wheels are nice to haves.

At first I didn't really care for the black/black ice pearl. I slept on it for two nights and went back about 6 times to see if I liked it. Then I bought it. No regrets here.....
