the competition riding is quite difficult- however, once youre able to grasp the general concept of slow-speed maneuvers (and realize the capabilities of the HD's), it not much more than practice to make perfect.

dragging the rear brake and slipping the clutch makes my blood run cold- but thats what you have to do in order to ride the courses correctly.

That is exactly why it is necessary to quit intense drilling every 15-20 minutes and take the bike out on a cool-off run to cool the brakes and clutch down. With cool down runs between practice, you'll likely never damage the clutch or excessively wear the rear brakes. Practicing the "Motorman's" Ride Like a Pro can't be beat.
