After much reading & research here I also searched the net for a solution I would be happy with.

I did not want to get into soldering handheld transmitters, pulling the fairing to replace batteries, drilling holes and buying buttons.

I found Flash2Pass system. Wired to high beam, 12V & all existing handheld and built in cage openers work seamlessly with this unit.

They generally sell for $79.00......Eastern Performance was $64.95 w/free shipping. I would recommend it.

I've got one too. Works great. With a little fiddling of the transmitter position I've probably got about 25 yards of range. Kinda like cruise control...once you got it you're hooked!

 

+1, I got one too, easy to install, works perfect, flash the dimmer switch, door opens, flash again, door closes.

 

my remote garage opener is great....when it's raining or about to there's nothing better than hittin the switch and pulling into a dry safe place.
