I don't know anybody that runs Metzlers on touring bikes anymore, but Dennis Kirk is hard to beat on any tire deals as a rule. Do yourself a favor and check out the Dunlop E3's. I USED to run Metzlers, but no more. Do a search on this forum on the HUNDREDS of people that agree.

 

I put Metzlers on my Ultra and love them, much better than the crappy Dunlops. I bought mine from a place in Dallas, TX called Bikers Bay. It's actually in Carrollton a suburb of Dallas. They run specials 2 to 3 times a year for 30% off Metzlers. Nobody else around here could come close. Mounted and balanced was cheaper than most places were just pricing the tires to me.

I just replaced my 1st E3 rear tire. Got 14,000 miles before the looked ready to replace. After I replaced it, it still had miles left on it. This is the same rear tire I did Deal's gap and 6 days riding the Smokey's. I will stick with E3s from now on.

I run metzlers also. Id never have another Dunlop . the metzlers grip a lot better and although im not a hard rider I found the Dunlops to absolutely suck especially on the front . Any sand or gravel on the road and the frond wanted to slide out. I hated them. I cant give a mileage figure yet for the metzlers and I never wore out the dunlops either I just got em off my bike ..

 

I'm researching this also. I need new tires on mine before summer.
