$20,500 out the door at Alamo City in April 2009, 2009 RG, Vivid black, ABS, security, plus I had the 1000 mile service thrown in to close the deal.

It was not a steal, but it was the lowest deal I could find in South Texas (Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Laredo, Harlingen) at the time. The economy has gotten worse so you might find a smoking deal out there.

As long as you do not walk out feeling like you just got raped, it is a good deal. For the amount of time you spend trying to beat down the price another $500 dollars, you could be out enjoying the ride.

I guess I should add that they gave me $6800 trade in on a 2006 1200C. I bought the sportster for $6750 the year before with 2000 miles on it (private seller), traded it in with 13,000 miles.

Look around but don't do anything until the last business day of the month.

I got my 09 SG from Victoria HD. At the time i was working in Houston and living just outside of Corpus. went to 3 or 4 places in Houston but I was unhappy with the deals and the service offered. Stopped in at Victoria on my way home one Thursday. I got figures from them and went home, called Friday morning at 10 to confirm what I wanted, and picked up the bike on Saturday afternoon, they were awesome, both in service and figures. I will go back there first next time I change, I was very happy, especially considering they didn't have the bike in stock i wanted and went to SA to pick it up, fitted the hardware i asked for and changed out the wheels at no extra charge.
