Are you saying that the dealership said that the build was too much for the SEST? I sure hope not.

Just for clarification, were they referring to the VE tables being maxed?

First off, chasing numbers on paper can get obsesive and expensive for some people.

Second if your happy with the way it runs why would you be disapointed in the numbers, the only place your going to notice 9 horse and 5 ft lbs is at the track, IF your a consistant drag racer.

Third, if your tuner (the person) thinks he has "reached the limits of the Super Tuner" RUN TO ANOTHER SHOP! He doesnt know what hes doing and there very well be more power to be had, but based on your AFR it wont be much. At my old shop in CO we built 124's and 131's making 140-150 HP using Race Tuners. You have to understand the whole program not just the VE tables to tune big inch high HP/TQ builds.

You DO NOT need a piggy back tuner!!!

Dyno charts are a diagnostic tool, not an end result. The dyno is a tool to measure your bike against itself, not against other bikes on other dynos. If you think you are lacking in performance compared to other similar builds, the only way to know for sure is to run against them.

If you're not gonna drag race other bikes, then why are you worried about 3 or 4 hp that may or may not be there? Are you gonna win any contests with your dyno chart?

you've got a monster, go out and enjoy it.

Just what do you think these "significant changes Harley made to the Super Tuner" are? And why do you think THEY are to blame for "LOW" performance numbers?

If I were you I would take that dyno print out wad it up in a ball and throw it in the **** can. It doesn't mean ****. If the bike runs like you stated that is all that matters. You can chase numbers on a piece of paper till your wallet is empty and the bank account is screaming. A dyno is a tuning tool and they are all a little different.

Just curious, but what will a 4th Gear pull do to the numbers vs. a 5th gear pull?

Cool, thanks Doc. Just wondering since it seems to cause alot of "controversy" for some.

I'd ride it and be perfectly happy if it were me.
