I put a new pair of ISO grips on my road king classic with the glue supplied. And the left grip did not hold. I read about the golf club tape and will try it. Is one layer of the tape all that is needed or should you wrap it with the tape several times? Thanks
I had the local harley shop install them and came loose on the first ride. I did a search on the forum and found several others have had the same problem.

I can help you there my friend. I've regriped many golf clubs in my life. had to give it up due to a bad back. The tape comes in two different size's 1" and 2", I would buy the 1" wide and spiral wrap it so it lays flat. one wrap will do it. You can buy the fluid, But I always used lighter fluid. or you can use gasoline. Any solvent will do! Wet the tape good and shove the grip on real fast before it starts setting up. It will do the job!! When I put my grips on, I didn't use the little tube of Crazy glue they send either. Good luck!
I used electrical tape. A few wraps around the bar made the diameter a little bigger. Then I just sort of screwed the grip on. It held very well. It was good to because I just replaced the handle bars and didn't ruin my grips taking them off

I've spoken with 2 local dealerships, they both refuse to install Kuryakyn grips for this very reason. In fact one of the dealerships served as an expert witness in a lawsuit.
