I'm pretty sure my bike came from the factory with these. They help with visibility a lot. The connectors are right by he top front of the bag. Easy to connect/disconnect when removing bags. I didn't like them at first, buy they grew on me....

 

I spliced into a hot line in each system thank used quick disconnects from radio shack at each saddle bag. Just remember to unplug them yourself when the bike goes in the shop. mech will look for the plus after he rips the bags off your bike.

 

I use mine as my turn signals, eliminated the stock light and crossbar. Never had any negative comments, lawman or otherwise.
