Default Bleeding brakes

Just thought I would give a heads up. I recently replaced my front brake lines and went out to get some tubing. I went by Harbor Freight first to grab some shop towels. Found a one man bleeding kit there with tubing for $4.99. Figured I would try it. Took me 20 min and 1 bottle to bleed my front brakes. Best $5 I spent. I have bled brakes before on cars and bikes and by far this was the easiest. I dont know if its the kit or the brembos are easier, but I am sold either way. Anyway back to football

Good job. A less messy way (IMO) and doesn't use as much brake fluid is to get a big syringe like a big hospital needle syringe without the needle. Put a hose on the end and suck up the brake fluid. Open the top of the brake fluid reservoir. Crack the bleeder screw and put other end of hose on there and squeeze fluid up through the lines into the reservoir until no bubbles come out. Be careful res doesn't overflow. If it does start to overflow just suck some of it out with syringe.

Since I have ABS, dealer has to bleed mine if I change anything because they need to use the Digital Tech to check it. I have to have the dealer change my fluid every two years.

Use to run sidecar rigs, took them off and on and had to bleed the rear each time.
Used one of those hand vac pumps.....simple and easy.
I'm with Dawg, I change the brake fluids every two years when I do a fork oil change too.

You can break the line between the ABS module and the calipers without digital teck, put if you break the line between the lever or pedal and the ABS module you need digital tech

I tried the speed bleeders. Made it a real easy and quick 1 man job. No mess. $7 each. I am happy with them.
