Default What year model exhaust will fit a 2010 SG

I know the 2010 SG has smaller O2 bungs, which is now big deal. I'm getting the power commander v, with autotune. I'm just having a very hard time deciding on which exhaust. I know the difference, 2 into 1 for performance or duals for looks. I also know that the 09 and 10 exhaust runs under the bike, other year models go under the seat(the exhaust pipe going to the left side). So my main questions, Am I stuck with 2009 and 2010 exhaust, or can I say an exhaust from and 07 or a year model close to that.

Thank you for the answer.......

I think you're pretty much stuck with 09/10 exhaust

Go on the V&H site and pick a system. It will say what years it fits.

I am not going to profess to even try to make anyone think I know for sure,, but it would just seem that with the huge difference in the frame design you would have to be stuck with the 09-10 as Brett above said.

I don't have a complete answer, but 2009 is when they changed the frame and left side exhaust routing. So 09 will definitely fit if you deal with the O2 bungs (they sell plugs for $5). I put 2009 OEM head pipes on my 2010 flhx so I know they fit. One other tidbit if you are thinking of going with Harley head pipes is that all 2010's have catalytic converters, where in 2009 only CVO and California models had them.

I'm patiently waiting for the new 2/1 headpipe from jackpot to be come out. Then I'll change out the a/c and run a sest tune on it..

I'm looking at getting a 2 into 1 exhaust, can't decide on V&H or the fatcat. How loud is the Fatcat? I don't want anything really loud, I'd still like to hear the radio without cranking it up all the way.

The big advantage comes with the muffler change, the PCV and which ever air intake system you picked. Changing the header pipe will make more sound, and supposedly run a bit cooler, but the header pipe change doesn't add the significant gains that the other three changes made for you already. I decided to go with a jackpot slip on. If I wish to add a header pipe I will just add it later on. I've been hearing alot of guys putting on a stage 1, an HD download and a SE Nightstick and being very happy. I was interested in the V&H Pro Pipe chrome which is supposedly available this month. I felt though that for less than the cost of the pipe, I got a PCV, Power Tube slip on Muffler, and a stage one kit. The look is great and the performance is as advertised.
