I got the left side one. I believe Hopnel makes a right side one as well, but not sure. It's good quality, but not real leather like the HD one.

I measured, and yes, those bottles will fit our drink holders. You just have to skip the coozy. I just need to know on which side you would like to put it, throttle or clutch, so I can put the Concho on the outside, so it wouldn't scratch your chrome, if you like the Concho.

Please check your PM.

I have the 20 oz bottle and about 1" of the red neck on the bottle shows, the 30 oz will be 10 oz taller. That was not a redneck joke.

Skyclimber, do you know if the 30 oz bottle is the same diameter as the 20 oz MSR bottle?

Default Msr 30 oz bottle

The 30 oz is taller. same diameter. Anything with a larger diameter will not fit. taller will fit but stick out more. You can see the bottles at

I have decided to try the saddlebag guard bottle holders from Captain-Itch. He said the bottles should fit well. A much better price than the HD bags and they are real leather & MADE IN THE USA!! I will give a report on how well they work when I get them.

Thanks

I have two of these 33-oz MSR fuel bottles, they're handy for carrying toluene or xylene (the only QUALITY octane booster that's not snake oil) should you be unable to get premium fuel in the back country. I carry them in my saddlebags as they're leakproof.

Just a final note on this thread about the MSR bottle holders and www.captain-itch.com who is a sponsor on this forum. I ended up ordering two of their leather cup holders for my MSR bottles. I sent him (actually her, Isabel!) the money by PayPal this past Monday evening and the holders were delivered to my house this morning (Wednesday). The holders are really top quality, thick leather, well sewn and MADE IN THE USA (Tennessee). High quality product and GREAT customer service!! Thanks, Isabel & Larry!!

I did the Alaska trip last summer, here is what you need to do. Purchase (2) 1 1/4 gal. gas cans, bungee 1 to each passenger floor board, be sure to position them so as not to scratch the crap out of the side covers. Now you will have 2 1/2 gallons of spare gasoline. Works freaken great.
Here is a "must do" for your trip, be sure to notify your credit card companies you will be traveling to Alaska and for how long. If you don't they may put a hold on your card at some point during your trip.
