I've been riding for 40 years and this is my first bike with ABS. I was a little sceptical at first but now I would not have another bike without it....

If it is offered you might as well get it. I don't have it as my bikes are a bit older, but if I was to get a new one I'd think hard about it. If you have ever had to make a panic stop, I'd say yes.

Would you buy a new car without ABS, do they even make cars without ABS? I've had two cars pull out in front of me in the last several months and both times I had to grab a fist full of brake. Bike sits right down, just like it's designed without locking up the tires. I personally don't understand why this is even a question!

I like the ABS on my '07. Never needed it for a serious situation, but felt it working on some loose conditions. If the newer ones are indeed better, I would sign up for that option.

Going through the same dilema now, should I get or not. A better question is how does this system actually work? If the back brake is slammed on does it only acctivate the rear or front as well? Has anyone ever seen a bike high side as the bike pitches when skidding at speed? The guys I've seen this hapen to were great riders but they were all still seperated from their bikes in the air.....Wonder if ABS might of help? Just a thought ??

I got it on this scoot, and I like it. Took some getting used to, just like it did when it first came out on cars. I'll keep getting it if I can.
