Well I did it.

Over 45 years I have learned that some of my trades from a piece of old crap for a newer piece of crap did not turn out as I had hoped and regretted the trade. Two shovels and one panhead come to mind.

Gee, I have a 2001 Electra Glide Standard and it's been the best bike I've ever owned. No one has ever referred to it as a "piece of crap". Takes me all over the country and still gets compliments wherever we go. Glad you got a new bike but I'm stickin' with my ride for a while longer.

Well if you're happy, I'm happy for ya. I can't ever imagine calling my 2000 model a piece of crap. It has served me well, and continues to do so. Yea, I'd love a new bike, but this economy has got to turn around first. Anybody out there looking for 11 acres of beautiful land to build your dream house in the Corvallis, MT area? Surrounded by mountains with great views... LoL

Congrats on the new bike, what exactly was the problem with your 01?
I had the bike for 6 years and ever time I turned around it was costing me money.
I had to put 4 stators in it many other problems, it was one of those
bikes that was a lemon. I loved the bike and loved how it looked but just
couldnt afford it anymore. I lost a little bit of money but im gonna love the new one.

Now, if you just said 'I just traded in my old bike for a new 2010 EGC'. maybe I wouldn't have repied to this in this manner. But if you thought the old one was a POS, what makes you think the new one isn't going to be one? Harley isn't known for making large leaps in engineering or quality. (just cost.)
