Default fairing lowers fitment

Hi
Does anyone know for sure what year of Fairing lowers would fit on my 89 FLHTP ? I've come across a few but I hate to order them if they don't fit.

Go with HD's fitment information in the paper P&A catalog or website.

If you are worried about fitment because your bike is a police model EG, use Zanotti HD's website to ask them if the engine guard on your police model is the same as the engine guard on a civilian '89 Electra Glide and what fairing lowers you should order for your bike. Zanotti's is excellent about answering questions and their discounted prices are hard to beat.

As a police Electra Glide owner myself, it's a bit unsettling that HD never provides fitment information for FLHTP's for accessories such as fairing lowers, and the typical dealer parts person is clueless. So, I developed the habit of checking the police parts involved (in this case the engine guard) with the civilian EG parts. If they are the same (and 99% of the time they are), I order the parts.

I ordered the fairing lowers for my bike and they fit fine; no problems.

The Crash Bar (Engine Guard) is the same. I had a 1989 and have both Part catalogs. They are the same part number.

Well I've been searching through Zanotti's site after Carl's suggestion (ty) but can't seem to find them.
Ultra89Rider which parts catalog are you seeing them in?

My suggestion was to email Zanotti's and ask about fitment and part nos. using their website link:

https://www.zanottimotor.com/shopping/contact.html

You can do the same thing at an HD dealer's parts counter.

Try PM'ing 89 for the part nos.

I don't know about the '89 models, but I have an 07, and there's no difference between the police models and the civilian ones. A lot could have changed in 18 years though. The lowers are a nice addition.

Part number is 49184-84A with the pressurized accumulator (used up to the 1996 model years). From experience, I know you can use the later model Engine Guard (49184-97) that does not have the air accumulator for the front forks. You will just need to cap off the front forks. Or do as I did and change the front forks to the air tubes that run to the rear to act as the air accumulator.

Thanks guys for the help, I checked the HD site and 89 and 2002 and probably others used the same fairing lowers numbers so I went ahead and bidded on a set.
