Is this a HD unit? I'm thinking about installing oil temp and pressure gauges, along with a tach, if I can ever find a nice enough mount for them.

I getting ready to put an oil cooler on. Have had the temp gauge since the bike was new (08) so I guess I need the NAPA adapter to move it from where ever it is now (I really don't know) to the pan. Anybody know the part #??

Napa part # is 3220 x 6 x 2. It is a 3/8 NPT (M) x 1/8 NPT (F).

Does anyone have experience with HD's 'digital dipstick/temperature gauge'?

I have one and if it craps out again I'll go to the dash mount.

I had one on my Dyna... I thought it was just the battery, it would fail to 'wake up' sometimes. I guess it's a broader issue. Thanks

Hawg08,
I put mine in last weekend....I just used some teflon tape and it works fine and no leaks. I didn't drain the oil either. I just put the sensor in the adapter first and had it ready when I took the plug out out the pan, quickly put my finger over the hole then took it off and quickly screwed in the adapter/sensor...lost about a tablespoon of oil. :-) As far as the ground, it uses the ground wire from the light bulb wiring from the air temp gauge. (You cut the wires at the air temp gauge and attach them to the oil temp gauge using the included ring terminal cnnectors.)

I am installing a new painted inner fairing and want to add the oil temp gauge at that time. Does anyone have the part number for the gauge kit?
