'04 FLHR with WIld 1 chubbies, the 18'' version.

 

I'm also late to this thread but I'm 6' and have 16" from Drag Specialties on my '11 FLHR. I like to have mine quite forward and my windshield wont sit at all with where my bars are. I was thinking about cutting my windshield a bit. Can anyone post pictures of their windshield cuts?

I have Trask Performance 13" and don't have any problem with mine.

 

I finally installed the 16" Wild One apes on my '95 RK. I have the handlebars pushed forward a bit for max comfort. The windshield will not mount in this position. My options are to cut my current windshield or buy a windshield that mounts directly to the apes.

Anyone know of a windshield that bolts directly to the handlebars?

 

This thread is awesome thanks to all who posted pics of their RK's with apes. I'm 6'4 and the bike has Carlini's on it already but they are too low so I am considering apes. Think I am going to go with WO 18's thanks to this thread.

 

Mine. And they work with the windshield on the RARE times I use it.

 

Only time I used it this summer - going over the Alps... hell of a trip.

My sig pic shows my current King with 16's on it. Had a Road King Custom that had 18's on it previous and I can't tell much of a difference between the 2. The grips sit below my shoulder level. I'm 6'2" with 36" sleeve and 34" inseam if that helps at all.
