Go to google maps and plan your own ride. As a bonus you can pull the little yellow man located on the left of the map and look at the roads as if you were driving down them. You can change routes by left clicking on the route and drag it to change the route.

I live 20 miles outside of Galveston. There is a dealership in Pasadena (San Jacinto HD) and one in Angelton (Goes). Pasadena is still the Houston area though and I don't go to Goes. While in Galveston make sure you have a burger at "The Spot" on Sea Wall and visit Mothers off HW 146.

head from Tulsa to Tyler from Tyler head to Trinity, then over to Livington, towards woodville and then hwy 146 south then go to Galveston. you'll miss most freeways, some riding through national forrest. also couple dealers. 1 in The Woodlands, 1 in Conroe but that's further west than the route stated above.

+1 on "the spot"

I love the spot. Glad it's still there. I'll have to try mothers. Last time I was there was about a month before IKE and it was a freeway trip in the car. Do you know if Yaga's is still downtown on the strand? I love the grilled mahi mahi tacos there! Actually the seafood and seawolf park are the main reasons for taking my group down there.
