Default Oldy's tourpack

Has anyone bought one of the tour packs from Oldy's custom composites?http://www.oldinc.com/oldystourpack.htm
If so how was the quality? Any tips on setup for use on a RoadKing and finishing for paint would be a great help.

I almost went with the Oldy's Tourpak but instead I bought a Harley King Pak on Ebay from a wrecked bike. I would have saved allot of time and money if I'd stuck with the Oldy's. If I count my labor to do the repairs on the wrecked one I'd been better off buying new from the dealer. It would'nt take much to prep the Oldy's for paint so if your looking to save some money it'd be hard to beat.

Folks have been using 50 cal ammo boxes as saddlebags for years. (Only they call them "panniers") They're cheap and waterproof. Looks great on a dual sport like a KTM. Heavy, but rugged cool. I think they weigh about 20 lbs each.

It would probably look out of place on a Street Glide.

It doesn't look very thick in the picture. I use one of those $99 EBAY import tourpacks. For the few times a year i use one it works fine(after i re-enforced it with fiberglass).
