Sorry Man; I forgot about the mapping. I also put a PCIII on mine and let the computer do the mapping with the epuipment I had on the bike. There are several thousand different combo's to work with accorrding to what pipes, air breather and what different Stage U put on your Scooter. Any question feel free to email me about this. and address it something to do with Motorcycles so I don't delete as spam....................Big Dog

Doing a stage 1 on your 06 bike is very much worth it. The air cleaner, a good exhaust pipe, and efi tuner will increase your enjoyment of your bike 100%.

I went with the SE intake with K&N filter, a Supertrapp 2 into 1 pipe, and the SERT. What a difference in performance, sound, and gas mileage. The throttle response is superior, the power increase is about 20 - 25%, and the sound is outstanding.

Do it man, do it! You will be glad you did. Make sure and get a SERT or PCIII.

You'all are going to get me in trouble with buyin more stuff, but, what the hey? Been there before. Just reading about the stage III has me very interested. I'm gonna have to read up on it more before I plunk down the bucks. How does the stage III effect the standard or extended warranty?

Ken
Nothing should mess with your warrenty unless u do not have the paperwork showing who did the work, if u have it done at a shop other than the stealership. The bigger Stage U put in the more power U will have. I would remend the PCIII with what ever Stage U put in. Also put in a good Breathing filter to help with the air intake. Let me know what U decide and how much $$$$$ U put into this.

Did you have the dealer do the ECM upload/remap?

I have an 06 Road Glide. I had the stage 1 stuff installed and financed into the bike. Since then I have installed the V&H Dresser Duals and PCIIIusb. If I had it to do over and cost wasn't too much of an issue I would have gone with this setup:

1. ARLEN NESS BIG SUCKER FOR 2006 INJECTED MODELS p/n: AN18-505 $98.95 (directparts.com). The Screamin Eagle cleaner is $139.

2. BUB CROSS DRESSER II TRUE DUAL EXHAUST HEADER 99-06 FLT, FLHT. FLHR. FLTR p/n DS18020005 $382.65 (directparts.com) ($374 at cyclespot.com). Already has the oxygen sensor port.

3. D&D Police Interceptor slip-ons p/n: 408-14B $369 (cyclespot.com)

4. Terry Components Terminal Velocity II fuel management $399 on ebay. No downloads needed, no dyno time needed, adapts to any additional changes down the road. Two map downloads from the dealer will cost this much ($149 + .5 hour labor)

Total: $1250 or so. Only $90 less if same setup with the PCIIIusb

A 95" kit would cost more and you'd still want the air cleaner and pipes. This is a good solution. I ride solo and 2-up and my setup has more than adequate power to put me into the triple digit speeds with plenty left over. After this type of upgrade you could go for heads and cams and get even more out of it.

Hey Big Dog, this is what I was looking for. Didn't know how to ask about it, but you answered the mail about using my own laptop and probably USB link to tune it up.

I would presume there is a break in period after adding a big bore kit.

Hey Big Spender, Can I get a loan for the same thing, my wife won't let me put a Stage Three on ours, she says it goes fast enough for her liking. But the Stage 3 might go in as a winter project, along with gears instead of the plastic thing that blows up(I can not remember what it is called). I have a a couple of buddies that have had it blow up or be wore down to nothing....
